5 Nepalese men arrested for Shiroor jewellery showroom burglary

Udupi, Sep 20, 2017:  Police investigating into the  case of theft of Gold Palace jewellery showroom at Shiroor  have  arrested five Nepalese nationals and recovered silver anklets weighing 3 kg and a cash of Rs 1.8 lakh from the accused.

Those arrested are  Shivasingh Bahadur alias Shiva alias Prem, Kumar Singh Saud alias Dukiya, Ramesh Singh Parki, Hark Bahadur Saud and Prem Bahadur Saud alias Chakar Bahadur Saud. All of them are from   Silgadhi Doti district of Nepal.

The theft had taken place on April 2. It has been gathered that the accused worked in fast food outlets and other places  in the vicinity of the gold showroom had hatched a plan to burgle the showroom.

Police are on the lookout for a few more persons in connection with the theft. The accused and the recovered valuables have been handed over to the Byndoor police.
