5 Dead in Tipper- Rickshaw collision

Kasargod, Sep 16, 2016: Tipper collided head on with rickshaw selling fish,  killing five on the spot  and three injured at Kunnurravi in Payyanur on September 16, Friday.

The deceased are Ganesh (38), his wife Lalitha (32), daughter Lisna (5) Aradhya (4) and Devaki (72). All the four occupants of rikshaw were  from a family ,except Devaki had been to buy fish.

The negligence and over speed of the tipper driver was the reason for the accident. Tipper driver was sloshed and fled from spot immediately. Injured are being treated at a hospital

Investigations are underway.
