45-year-old man dies trying to rescue drowning wife in Udupi

Udupi: September 8, 2015: A 45-year-old man died while trying to save his drowning wife who fell into a pond near Karje in Hosur Village in Udupi.

 

The deceased couples have been identified as Ramesh Shetty (45) and wife Arathi Shetty (33) from Karje.

According to the sources both Arathi Shetty and Ramesh were working in a paddy field on Monday September 7. It is learnt that Arathi Shetty accidently slipped and fell into a pond. When her husband Ramesh Shetty came to rescue, even he slipped and drowned. Both of them lost their lives in the incident.

A case has been registered at Brahmawar police station.
