4 fraudsters arrested for raising funds in name of Buntara Sangha

Kaup, Feb 13, 2020:  Kaup Police have arrested four persons on the charges of   collecting donations from public unauthorisedly in the name of Buntara Sangha. All the four have been produced before the court and remanded to judicial custody for 15 days.

The arrested persons have been identified as  Nalin Kumar Rai (56), Gurudutt (48), Malini (49) and Reshma (30).  The four had visited the house of 70 year old Gulabi Shedti at Koppalangady on February 5 evening claiming  they are from Buntara Matru Sangha and  sought donation for Buntara Mitra magazine.

It has been gathered that Gulabi Shedti had donated Rs 500 while a neighbour Pratima Shetty donated Rs 3,000.

However, the cheating came to light when those donated contacted the Buntara Sangha which clarified that it has not sent anyone to collect funds. Following this Gulabi Shedti had lodged a complaint.
