39-year-old succumbs to heart attack during police enquiry

Mangaluru, June 05, 2017 :  Bajpe police  took four persons into custody on charges of consuming liquor on Malavoor dam  four persons were taken for enquiry . During investigation one of them had a sudden chest pain was rushed to hospital but was declared dead.

 

The person deceased is  Melwin John, 39, resident of Balpugudde in Kavoor.


It is said that  on complaint by a person at Bajpe station   PCR van  reached the place and took the four to police station  on charges of consuming liquor.  During investigation. Melwin seated on a chair in the front hall of the police station collapsed holding his chest. Police and others immediately shifted Melwin to a private hospital in the city and admitted him but was declared  dead. Lawrence, the brother of Melwin who lodged a complaint of unnatural death with police stated that Melwin was suffering from heart problem previously and this could explain the incident.


Letter to the Magistrate for an inquiry in this matter has been submitted by  Bajpe police
