38,279 people screened in Dakshina Kannada so far : DC Sindhu Rupesh

Mangaluru, March 31, 2020:  Deputy Commissioner Sindhu Rupesh has said that a total of 38,279 people have been screened in the district so far. She said all those who have returned from abroad have to mandatorily be in home quarantine.

On Monday, 48 people have been screened, she informed. The throat swab sample medical reports of nine persons which were received on Monday are negative. Eight more samples have been sent  for test on Monday. A total of 5,875 people are in home quarantine, 28 are undergoing treatment in ESI Hospital. Four people have been admitted to other hospitals on Monday due to some symptoms, the DC said and added that a total of 169 have completed 28 days of home quarantine.

ASHA workers have  so far visited 3,77,569  houses to create awareness on Covid-19.
