32 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK, 18 cases in Udupi on June 29

Mangaluru, June 29, 2020: Thirty two people from Dakshina Kannada and eighteen people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, June 29.

Out of the 32 cases reported in DK, 9 were categorised as cases of influenza like illness (ILI), 6 were cases of SARI and one person is arrived from Mumbai tested positive. Source of how 4 others contracted the disease is being traced while 12 others are primary contacts of other patients.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 695. As many as 426 persons have been discharged and 14 deaths have occurred so far.

In Udupi, out of 18 cases, five are from those who came from Mumbai, four from Bengaluru, nine are primary contacts of other patients and a cook of local restaurant, whose source of infection is yet to be traced.

Now, the Udupi district has a total of 1197 cases with 139 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 1056 patients recovered and discharged. The district has reported two COVID-19 fatality.
