307 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 332 cases in Udupi on August 14

Mangaluru, August 14, 2020: 307 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 332 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday, August 14, 2020. Six more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and five in Udupi district today.

Among the 307 new cases DK, 197 are from Mangaluru, 57 from Bantwal, 14 from Puttur, 17 from Sullia, 14 from Beltangady and eight are from outside DK district. As many as 242 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 8,378. As many as 6,115 persons have been discharged and 2,007 cases are currently active. 256 deaths have occurred including 6 deaths today.

Udupi district has reported 332 fresh cases on Friday. Now, the Udupi has a total of 7,497 cases with 2,550 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 4,872 patients recovered and discharged including 614 discharges today. The district has reported 75 COVID-19 fatality.
