3-member gang attacks student over eve-teasing issue

Mangaluru, April 9, 2016: In an incident reported from near the SNM Polytechnic at Moodbidri on April 7, Thursday, a student  was attacked by a group over the issue of eve teasing.

According to sources, a girl student studying in second year computer science   was reportedly teased  when she  came out of the classroom. The girl had intimated her brother Sooraj about this incident following which Sooraj accompanied by Sandeep and Nitesh arrived at the college compound in the afternoon. It is learnt, they threatened a student named Vighnesh who was standing near the gate, by wielding a machete and asked the whereabouts of  Akshay who had reportedly teased the girl. Another student named Shashank who arrived there questioned the trio when the latter attacked him.

Based on a complaint filed by Shashwath, police are on the look out for the accused.
