3 believed drowned at Tannirbhavi, bodies not found

Mangalore, June 23: Three young men are believed to have drowned at Tannirbavi on June 23 Thursday.

The three, identified as Tilak (24), a technician at Tribhuvan Motors; Santhosh (23), a technician at Aravind Motors; and Deepak (23), a student at Mumbai, were carried away by the waves. However, their bodies have not yet been found.

The thee had arrived at the beach at 4:30 p.m. along with their relatives Mahesh, Dhanush, Nithesh, and Prashanth of Hoigebailu in Urwa Store. They had come to Mangalore to observe the final rites of their grandmother.

Reportedly, the local people warned the group not to get into the sea because of the high tide, but nobody in the group listened to the warning.
 
The Panambur police have already rushed to the spot and local swimmers are now looking for the lost youth.
