243 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 219 cases in Udupi on August 11

Mangaluru, August 11, 2020: 243 people from Dakshina Kannada and 219 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, August 11, 2020. Nine more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and four daths in Udupi district today.

Among the 146 new cases DK, 189 are from Mangaluru, 30 from Bantwal, 6 from Puttur, 4 from Sullia, 10 from Beltangady and 4 are from outside DK district. As many as 519 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 7,596. As many as 4,734 persons have been discharged and 2,625 cases are currently active. 237 deaths have occurred including 9 deaths today.

Udupi district has reported 219 fresh cases on Tuesday. Among them, 115 are from Udupi, 68 from Kundapur, 33 from Karkala, and three from outside the district. Now, the Udupi has a total of 6,503 cases with 2,676 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 3,768 patients recovered and discharged including 183 discharges today. The district has reported 66 COVID-19 fatality.
