23 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK, 2 cases in Udupi on June 15

Mangaluru, June 15, 2020: Twenty three people from Dakshina Kannada and two from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, June 15.

The twenty three cases reported in Dakshina Kannada includes 22 Saudi returnees and a male who happens to be secondary contact of a P-5066. All of them have been admitted to the designated district hospital in Mangaluru.

With this the total positive cases in the district rose to 299, including 10 persons from other districts. As many as 153 persons have been discharged and eight deaths have occurred so far.

Udupi district has reported 2 positive cases on Monday. One is Maharashtra returnee and another one has contracted the infection from P-5451. Now, the district has a total of 1027 cases with 237 still being treated at the designated hospitals. The district has reported one COVID-19 fatality.
