211 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK and 106 cases in Udupi on September 22

Mangaluru, September 22, 2020: 211 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and  106 from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Four more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK district today.

Among the 211 new cases in DK, 11 are from Mangaluru, 43 from Bantwal, 17 from Puttur, one from Sullia, 19 from Beltangady and 20 are from outside DK district. As many as 209 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 20,578. As many as 15,714 persons have been discharged and 4,369 cases are currently active. 494 deaths have occurred including 4 today.

Udupi district has reported 106 fresh cases on Tuesday. With this total positive cases rose to 15,730 cases with 1,617 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 14,114 patients recovered and discharged. The district has reported 144 COVID-19 fatality.
