200th Birth Anniversary of Baha’u’llah celebrated with Pomp & Glory

Mangaluru, Oct 24, 2017 : The Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Mangalore celebrated the 200th Birth Anniversary of Bahá’u’lláh (Bhargo-Devasya; Glory of God) on Saturday, October 21 at SDM Law College Auditorium by organising a “Summit on Universal Peace and Brotherhood” and joined the 6 million Bahá’ís, the world over and over 2 million from India in the celebrations in over 100,000 localaties!

Mr. Walter Nandalike, the Editor in Chief of Daijiworld Media group inaugurated the programme and congratulated the Bahá’í Community for spreading the beautiful message of “The Oneness of God, Religion and Unity among Mankind.”
CA Lokesh Puthran, Chairman, BMS Yoga Centre, Dubai released “Bahá Smaranamrutha” Audio CD.  He mentioned that “We humans need to maintain a balance between Worldly Pleasures and the Universal Spirit. No religion intends to harm the other. We all fail to understand the hidden messages in the verses of different Holy Books which have to be conveyed to us through such programmes.”
Mr Jaspal Singh (Sikh Religion), Mr. Muniraja Renjala (Jain Religion), Mr. Ashu Bedra (Islam Religion), CA Rochelle D’sa (Christianity) & Dr C S Mala (Bahá’í Religion) spoke on various aspects upholding the principles of ‘Peace and Brotherhood’ from their respective beliefs and faith.
Dr. Deveraj K also spoke on the need of creating the spirit of brotherhood among mankind.
CA S S Nayak presided over the function and said that the “whole world is a single country and we are part of this country. In the matter of religions also we come under One Religion and One God (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam). Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings highlight this ideology.”
Recital of short poems on the Universal Peace and Brotherhood by the famous poets such as M/s. Ashok Kumar Kasargodu, Taranath Bolar, Dr. Suresh Negalaguli, Badruddin Kulur, Ravindra Nayak Sannakkibettu, Gunaje Ramchandra Bhat, Harish Sulaya Oddambettu, Karunakar Balkur, Udaya Kumar Habbu, Malathi Shetty Manoor, Arundathi Rao & Prihali Harish was also organised at this occasion.
Mr. Basti Ganesh Shenoy, the Chairman of the Bahá’í Spiritual Assembly. Mangalore welcomed the dignitaries and Secretary Mr. Vijay Anant proposed the vote of thanks. CA Yashashwini K Amin compeered the event.
