20-year-old student ends life

Mangaluru, Oct 01, 2018: A 20-year-old B.E student from Bengaluru allegedly committed suicide in his flat near his engineering college in Valachil, on the outskirts of the city, on Saturday night.

According to police, Sharath Babu, 20, from Koramangala, studied in Srinivasa Engineering College and stayed in a flat near the college along with seven of his friends.

On Sunday, they knocked Babu’s door and did not get any response. They peeked through a narrow gap and saw him hanging from the roof.

They called the police who broke open the door and shifted the body to the mortuary. The police said the reason for suicide of Babu was not known.
