2 passengers arrested at MIA for trying to smuggle gold worth lakhs of rupees

Mangaluru, June 25, 2019:  In two separate cases, customs officials at the Mangaluru International Airport have seized gold worth several lakhs of rupees from two passengers.

In the first case, a passenger who arrived from Dubai was found in possession of 211 grams of gold worth Rs 7.17 lakh hidden in a gear wheel on June 23.

In another case on June 24, Monday, a woman was arrested for trying to smuggle 239.86 grams of gold.
