2 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK, 22 cases in Udupi on Thursday

Mangaluru, June 11, 2020: Two people from Dakshina Kannada and 22 from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday, June 11.

The two patients confirmed in DK are 33 old man returned from Maharashtra and a 45 year old women, secondary contacts of the infected person arrived from Maharashtra. Both of them have been shifted to the designated Covid hospital in Mangaluru for treatment.

With this the total positive cases in the district rose to 224, including 10 persons from other districts. As many as 117 persons have been discharged and seven deaths have occurred so far.

Udupi district has reported 22 positive cases on Thursday. Two of them have come from Maharashtra and the source of infection in the remaining patients is yet to be traced.

91 patients who recovered where discharged on Thursday. Now, the district has a total of 968 cases with 417 still being treated at the designated hospitals. The district has reported only one COVID-19 fatality.
