2 loan recovery agents attacked by defaulter at Bajpe

Mangalore, April 23, 2014 : Two youngsters  were brutally assaulted  at Bajpe when they had been to the house of a person at Bajpe to collect his loan instalment on April 22, Tuesday. The victims are loan recovery agents of Bajaj Finance.

The victims are Vijesh (25) and Vignesh Kumar (27). Both had been to the house of one Mohammad Ali to recover the loan instalment as Ali on telephoning had asked them to come home. It is learnt, Ali had availed a loan from the Bajaj Finance to purchase  Pulsar bike  in the name of his daughter. It is learnt the cheque issued by him to the company had bounced.

However, when the two loan recovery agents had been to his house, he picked up a quarrel with them and refused to pay the loan instalment. When the two agents were about to leave, Ali reportedly hit the two with iron rods.

Bajpe police are investigating.
