2 injured as speeding car rams against divider, hits electric pole

Udupi, Dec 6, 2015 : Two persons sustained injuries when their speeding car hit the road divider and an electric pole opposite MGM College here during the wee hours of December 6, Sunday.

The injured namely Gajanana Nayak (24) and another unidentified person have been hospitalised.

It is learnt, the mishap occurred at around 1 am when the driver lost control over the car which first hit the divider before smashing against the electric pole and dragging it several meters  away before coming to an abrupt halt.

Sources said the air bags in the over speeding car saved the passengers.

A case has been registered by Udupi Traffic Police.
