Mangaluru, Feb 2, 2017 : A two-day workshop "Smart City Mission" aimed at finalizing the Action Plan for Pan City Solution will be held at Hotel Ocean Pearl on February 3 and 4, informed Mayor Harinath.
Speaking to reporters here on February 2, Thursday, he said the workshop will be inaugurated by State Minister for Urban Development and Haj Roshan Baig in the presence of DK District in-charge Minister Ramanatha Rai and Food and Civil Supplies Minister U T Khader.
The workshop would be attended by four delegates from Seoul and four officials from World Bank. Top IAS officers V Ponnuraj, Bharat Lal Meena, Srivatsa Krishna, Mahendra Jain, Shashank Ojha, MUDA Chairman Suresh Ballal, Legislators JR Lobo, Moidin Bava, MLC Capt. Ganesh Karnik and Chief Whip of Legislative Council Ivan D’Souza will also participate as chief guests.
MCC Commissioner Mohammad Nazir who also spoke, informed that the workshop will develop the SC ICT solution plan for individual smart city components and will also deliberate on evolving of smart city knowledge platform. He said all city officials from different implementing agencies will come together to discuss the common implementation arrangements for the project so that a road map can be prepared for Smart City project implementation.
Standing Committee Chairperson Kavitha Sanil, former mayor Shashidhar Hegde were also present at the press meet.
