2-day Christmas Food Fiesta-2014 kicks off at Milagres grounds

Mangaluru, Nov 30, 2014: A two-day food festival named “Christmas Food Fiesta-2014” aimed at raising funds for charity kicked off at the Milagres Parish Grounds on November 29, Saturday. The event organised by Catholic Sabha Mangalore Pradesh Episcopal City Deanery intends to construct houses for 10 poor families with the help of the funds raised.

 

Senior Advocate M.P. Noronha inaugurated the Food Fiesta. Fr. J.B. Crasta, Spiritual Director, presided over the function and distributed certificates to those who participated in the cookery contest.

Anil Lobo, President of Catholic Sabha Episcopal City Deanery spoke on the objectives of the Food Fiesta.

Fr Valerian D’Souza, Parish Priest of Milagres Church, Linnette D’Souza, President of Catholic Sabha Milagros and others were also present.

A talent show by students of Alva’s College and a magic show  by Prof. Shanker and Junior Shanker team enthralled the gathering.
