19th Kannada Sahitya Sammelana concludes at Polali - Aug.3

Bantwal Aug 4, 2014:  Kannada Sahitya Parishat former state president Harikrishna Punaroor,  delivering valedictory address at the 19th district Kannada Sahitya Sammelana at Polali in Bantwal taluk Aug 3, said that  the onus for the uplift and development of Kannada is not restricted to a few areas, but rural areas and other  entities must also contribute equally for the growth and love of Kannada. Recognising and rewarding achievers in various fileds in the district, not only helps in the growth of language, but also helps organisation  and  ethics.

Alva’s Education Foundation Chairman M Mohan Alva said, speeches, talks and discussions about Kannada language, education and agriculture system of Kannadigas is not enough for the promotion of Kannada. Every individual should develop love and respect for the language. There is a necessity to create awareness among the younger population to develop love and value for the language. Politicians and bureaucrats should exhibit will power to preserve Kannada schools and take measures to improve the performance of students in exams. Tertiary facilities should be improved in schools and they should be upgraded, Mohan Alva said.
