186 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK, 90 cases in Udupi on Saturday

Mangaluru, July 11, 2020: 186 people from Dakshina Kannada and 90 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, July 11, 2020. Three more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in the DK district today, thus taking the tally to 41.

Out of the 167 cases reported in DK, 64 were cases of influenza like illness (ILI), 17 cases of SARI, 10 with international travel history, Two returned from Bengaluru and 37 are primary contacts of other patients. Contact tracing process of 32 patients is on and remaining 20 includes random samples and pre-surgery samples.

As many as 29 patients were discharged from hospital today. With today’s 186 cases, the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 2,034. As many as 782 persons have been discharged and 41 deaths have occurred including 3 deaths today.

Udupi district has reported 90 fresh cases on Saturday. Among them, 7 are inter-district travellers, eight from Mumbai and 75 primary contacts of other patients. Now, the Udupi district has a total of 1,567 cases with 319 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 1,245 patients recovered and discharged including 21 on Saturday. The district has reported three COVID-19 fatality.
