18-year-old youth murders relative, surrenders to police

Belthangady, June 3,2017: It is reported that a 53-year-old BSNL employee was murdered allegedly by his 18-year-old relative, Chandrashekara at Santekatte in Belthangady on June 2, Friday night. The accused reportedly surrendered before the police following the incident.

 

The Belthangady police gave the name of the victim as Timmappa Gowda.

The police said Chandrashekar hit Gowda on his neck with a sharp weapon that led to the latter’s death.

He then surrendered before Belthangady police. The police have registered a case of murder. The reason for the attack was not known, the police are investigating.
