172 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK and 210 cases in Udupi on October 18

Mangaluru, October 18, 2020: 172 people from Dakshina Kannada (DK) and 210 from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday, October 17, 2020. Four more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK and one in Udupi district. As many as 212 patients in DK and 169 in Udupi were discharged from hospital.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 28,131. As many as 24,016 persons have been discharged and 3,487 cases are currently active. 628 deaths have occurred till date.

Udupi district has reported 210 fresh cases on Saturday. With this total positive cases rose to 26,679 cases with 1,928 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 18,578 patients recovered and discharged. The district has reported 173 COVID-19 fatality.
