153 new Covid-19 positive cases in DK; 126 cases in Udupi on August 3

Mangaluru, August 3, 2020: 153 people from Dakshina Kannada and 126 people from Udupi tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday, August 3, 2020. Seven more Covid-19 fatalities were recorded in DK district today.

Among the 153 new cases, 119 are from Mangaluru, 11 from Bantwal, six from Beltangady, four from Puttur, one from Sullia and 12 from other districts. As many as 124 patients were discharged from hospital today.

With this the total Covid 19 positive cases in the DK district rose to 6,168. As many as 2,854 persons have been discharged and 3,138 cases are currently active. 176 deaths have occurred including 7 deaths today.

Udupi district has reported 126 fresh cases on Monday. Among them, 58 from Udupi, 34 from Kundapur, 28 from Karkala, and six from other districts. Now, the Udupi has a total of 4,800 cases with 1,952 still being treated at the designated hospitals. 2,812 patients recovered and discharged including 116 discharges today. The district has reported 36 COVID-19 fatality.
