15 year old girl allegedly raped by two youths in Udupi

Udupi, June 17, 2015: The police today arrested Santhosh Shetty (23) and Nithesh Poojary (22) under section 376(D) of the IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual offences Act on the complaint of a 15-year-old girl of Udupi.

The incident took place on June 15, noon. It is learnt that the minor girl was in relationship with Santhosh.

The duo waylaid the girl and allegedly raped her, Santhosh and Nithesh fled issuing treats to kill her if she divulged the matter.

On reaching home, the girl informed her parents who apprised Udupi police about the offence.

The police have arrested the two.
