14-feet python caught at a College in Manipal

 Manipal, Aug 21, 2014:  According to a press report, a 14-feet python, weighing over 20 kgs, was found in the backyard of Madhav Pai Memorial College here on August 20.

 

Spotting the reptile, College Principal Shobha Kamath informed the snake catcher Gururaj Sanil and he arrived immediately with equpments. He trapped the snake and exhgibited informative observations on the python to the students. The students had the opportunity to learn on  snake handling. Gururaj Sanil later carried the python in his rucksack to set it free in the Western Ghats.
