14,000 litre Goa made liquor seized near Shiroor check post

Udupi, April 29, 2016 : A vehicle which  was unauthorisedly transporting  as much as 14,000 Goa made liquor was   seized  and the liquor confiscated by the Excise officials near the Shiroor check post. Two persons have been arrested.

The arrested have been identified as  M Anil Kumar (22) and Motla Naik (33). Both hail from Hoovina Hadagali in Ballary. The value of the seized liquor and the vehicle has been estimated at Rs 8 lakh. A mobile phone in possession of the accused has also been seized.

The operation was led by B Chandrashekhara Naika, Excise Sub-Inspector and his team under the guidance of  Mangaluru Division Excise Joint Commissioner S L Rajendra Prasad and Udupi district Deputy Commissioner of Excise K S Murali.
