13 people stranded in TN over Cauvery crisis, return hometown

Udupi, Sep 15, 2016 :   As  many as 13 people from Kundapur in Udupi district who were in Tamil Nadu and whose vehicles were targeted by activists of some organisation in the neighbouring state over the Cauvery crisis, have returned  hometown. All of them reached Udupi by train on September 14, Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Manjunath Kulal, driver of the Tempo Traveller who had taken a group of people including his parents on a tour to Rameshwar  and who was attacked by activists there  is expected to arrive hometown today.

It may be recalled here that the video which showed Kulal being attacked and forced by activists of  Naam Thamilar Iyakkam to say that Cauvery belongs to Tamil Nadu had gone viral, in turn triggering violence in Bengaluru and elsewhere
