11-year-old drowns while playing near pond in Kundapur

Kundapur, May 26, 2017: A 11-year-old girl drowns accidentally as they were playing near a pond in Hengavally on May 25, Thursday.

 

The deceased is identified as Swathi(11), daughter of Mohan and Saraswathi couple of Kodabail. She was the eldest among the three children. She  was the Fifth standard student of Thombattu Durgaparameshwari School.

It is learnt that Swathi was playing along with her friends near the pond. As her friends thought she was hiding went in serach of her, but did not find anywhere. They immediately rushed to her house, but was not there too. As they went in search of her  found her Swathi lying in the pond. They rushed her to hospital but was declared dead.

Case has been registered in Shankarnarayan police staion . Investigations are underway.
