Mangaluru,June 19, 2015: As many as one thousand VHP and Bhajrangdal activists from Mangaluru are expected to reach Bengaluru on June 22 as part of the Bengaluru Chalo Programme at Freedom Park on that day to protest against the State Government policies.
Informing this to reporters here Jithendra Kottari accused the Congress government in the state of pursuing anti-Hindu policies. He lashed out at the government for withdrawing cases against PFI and KFD activists when around six months ago there was a plan to ban these organisations.
He also criticised the government for withdrawing the Anti-Cow Slaughter Act, for introducing Shaadi Bhagya Scheme only for Muslim Women and for trying to implement Karnataka Anti-Superstition Legislation.
The Bengaluru Chalo Programme will be participated by around 10,000 activists, he said adding the team from Mangaluru will leave for Bengaluru from the Mangaladevi Temple premises on June 21. Buses have been arranged for the purpose, he added.
Jagadish Shenava, District President of VHP said his organisation was not against withdrawal of cases against innocent people but cannot accept dropping cases against everyone.
He also stated that a complaint has been lodged with the police regarding threatening calls received by Sharan Pumpwell.
