10 yr old boy murdered by friend over a cricket dispute

Udupi, Jan 12, 2015: A dispute between two boys aged 10 and 16 while playing cricket has culminated in the murder of the ten year old boy. This shocking case has been reported from Upladi in Kota  of Kundapur taluk. The incident reportedly took place on January 10, Saturday as both the boys were missing since Saturday evening.The body of the 10 year old boy  was found late night  on January 11, Sunday.

The deceased boy is Sughosha Adiga (10), while the accused is identified as Jayadeva Adiga (16), a class X student. Police have taken Jayadeva to custody and are questioning him.

The accused who hailed from Bengaluru was staying at his uncle’s house at Upladi and  studying in a local school. The two went missing after Jayadeva took Sughosha along with him on Saturday evening to play cricket.

Sughosha had lost his father just five months ago and his mother Revathi too is ailing. His brother Mahesh Adiga is a second PUC student. Sughosha’s death has shattered his family which was already in great pain.
