’Made in Mangaluru’ a Radio Mirchi initiative calls for participation

Mangaluru, Aug 04, 2015:  It is heartening  to hear that  Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM has launched  ’Made In Mangalore’, an initative said to be the largest search ever for greatest invention that the city has come up with. Mangaluru and its creative and awe inspiring innovations in various fields are the focus of this event, which will also serve as a platform that contributes to providing recognition to the city very own innovators. 

Radio Mirchi 0...Participants will be felicitated on the day of the event for their participation and contribution towards ’Made in Mangaluru’. Auditions are open to individuals and teams and to enter contestants need to explain concept along with their product. The invention must be something that is unique and made exclusively in Mangalore and its surroundings.  While auditions are open to anyone of any age, those under 18-years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

 ’Made in Mangalore’ will crown the best invention and this will be fulfilled through process of registration. Select few registered inventions will make it to the top 10, and these inventors will get to showcase their inventions before a large audience. Panel of judges will judge these top 10 inventions giving the audiences their final three inventors from where winner of ’Made in Mangaluru’

Participants can register inventions that fall under categories of technology, art and design and so on. Under technology, the sub-sectors will be mechanical, electronics, software and application, gadgets and automobile. Under art and design the sub-sectors will be paintings, sculptures, mosaics, fashion designing, jewellery designing and miniature crafts. Other sectors will mean any invention that has helped make everyday living easier said a representative. 

Registration process is open to participants up to August 12. During this period, participants should submit the registration entries and those above 18-years can directly walk in to Radio Mirchi office and register their names. Participants below 18 years should register with prior consent of parents/legal guardians.
