Mangaluru, July 31, 2020: “Working in Dakshina Kannada district gave me a new experience everyday. I faced a good number of challenges. With cooperation of all, I faced the challenges effectively,” said outgoing Deputy Commissioner Sindhu B Rupesh.
Sindhu B Rupesh has been transferred as director, Electronic Delivery of Citizen Services (EDCS), Bengaluru.
Speaking at the send-off programme organised at the DC’s office on Thursday, she said, “It was a challenge to tackle Covid-19 situation. In addition, there was a responsibility to solve the problems faced by the public. There is a need to continue our fight further against Covid-19 in the district,” she felt.
Additional Deputy Commissioner M J Roopa said, “As a deputy commissioner, Sindhu B Rupesh has faced several challenges in the last 11 months. The right decisions taken to tackle issues like flood, Covid management, migrant labourers, international travellers, has helped the district a lot. She had brought in financial discipline for management of Abbakka Utsava and Karavali Utsava in the district.”
The new deputy commissioner, Dr K V Rajendra, presided over the meeting.
