’White Doves’ manages to reunite Mahesh Chand of Uttarkhand, their 388th case

Mangaluru, Aug 08, 2019: White Doves founder director, Corrine Rasquinha told Mangalore Today, that Mahesh Chand  was brought by Panambur police,  he was going to commit suicide. He is from Utterkhand. He was with us for three years. We managed to locate his his relatives who flew in from Delhi on Aug 7, evening. They fly back with Mahesh Chand today Aug 8, Thursday.  God is great this is our 388 th reunification.

The earlier re-cap : Mahesh Chand was staying at ’White Doves’ for three years. Initially he did not want to go home and said his family will not accept him. The police stated he was caught attempting suicide. As he showed no interest in returning to his family, no further attempts were made. He was not mentally stable and was given needed medical care. Recently, he said he wanted to return and gave his details. By God’s will his family members were located and now he is set to go back home. 

In November 2016, Mahesh Chand was brought to White Doves by Panambur police.  The 53-year-old hails from Haldwani in Uttarakand. He belongs to a reputed family and his brother Dinesh Chand is a retired DySP, while his nephew Sanjay is a well settled businessman in Uttarakhand. He has another nephew who is an engineer in Oman. Mahesh is fluent in English. They family had searched for him high and low but to no avail. Finally, with ’White doves’ Mangaluru’s efforts Mahesh Chand is reunited with his family and ready to go home and start life afresh. It is great day of joy for all at ’White Doves’ too and it is the 388th reunion in the last 20 plus years.
