‘Sanmarga’ Editor dies in road accident

Mangalore, Aug 20, 2014 : ‘Sanmarga,’ weekly Editor Noor Mohammed (74), a resident of Uppinangady, was killed on the spot after a truck knocked down his two-wheeler on Tuesday night.

Police said Noor Mohammed was on his way back home after offering namaz in a nearby mosque when the accident occurred.

Mohammed, who has been working for Sanmarga since 1978, was presently heading the weekly.

He had also served as the president of Nekkiladi mosque.  He is survived by his wife, four sons including Uttara Kannada District Information Officer Shafi Saduddin and three daughters.
