"Samvedana"- Painting exhibition for a noble cause

Mangaluru, Sep 28 2019: An art exhibition "Samvedana" organised by Karavali Chitrakala Chavadi at Prasad Art Gallery  at Ballalbagh in Mangaluru was inaugurated on September 27, Friday by  V U George, Editor of Mangalore Today. The exhibition will be held upto October 3 and will be open for public from 10 am to 8 pm.

The Chitrakala Chavadi aims at  providing the funds collected by way of sale of paintings towards  the relief of flood affected people in various parts  of the district including Belthangady. Owing to this reason, the paintings on display here will be sold at 30 to 60% discount.

 A total of 74 paintings by 24 artistes are on display.  Paintings depicting the folklore and culture  of Tulunad including Yakshagana, Bhootharadhane,Nagaradhane, cock fighting, Kambala are the main attractions.

K. Koti Prasad Alva, well known environmental activist and noted artist Dinesh Holla, Ganesh Somayaji and others were present.
