‘Rail Roko’ attempt in Udupi Youth Congress members arrested

Udupi, June 12, 2017: Police stoped the youth congress members on attempt to stop Mangaluru-Madgaon express train, at Udupi, against policies of BJP led union government. 

Criticizing anti-people policies of the union government, Udupi district youth congress members hold Rail Roko protest at Udupi railways station.

Verbal clash between the police and youth congress members escalated when the protesters tried to enter the railway platform to stop train traffic.

District Youth Congress president, Vishwas Amin speaking on the occasion criticised the union government for its anti people policies including, recent attack on farmers in Madhaya Pradesh, 18% GST on fertilizers, using farmers for propaganda and others. Terming the arrest of Rahul Gandhi, national Congress vice president, when proceeding to disturbed areas as undemocratic, he chose harsh words to criticize BJP.

Youth Congress leaders, Aziz, Yathish, and others were present.
