’Musical fountain foundation stone’ sees light of day at Kadri Park

Mangaluru, Mar 22, 2015 : Musical fountain foundation stone at last was formally laid at old Deer Park in Kadri March 21,  the park is also expected to host special police force residences.

Urban development minister Vinay Kumar Sorake and DK district incharge minister B Ramanath Rai did the honours.  Speaking on the occassion,  Vinay Kumar Sorake said the note worthy point in this regard was the state government is set to focus on improving tourism in Karnataka. Mangaluru seen as the the second important city in the state after Bengaluru needs special attention. High tourism potentials in this coastal region need focus. Mangaluru will be a vital tourist region in the near future.

DK  incharge minister Ramanath Rai said that the contrast with other destinations is Mangaluru is short of gardens and open spots. Two more parks will come up in Bantwal soon. Manglauru will be accorded priority as a beautiful and clean city.

MLA J R Lobo in his presidential address mentioned that the musical fountain will be ready before the end of 2015. Construction process through the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority (MUDA), will need at least six months. The musical fountain will include laser display as well.  He thanked the urban development minister for approving the proposal and sanctioning the fund for Kadri Park development.  Chairman of MUDA Kodijal Ibrahim welcomed the guests.  At an estimated cost of Rs 4.97 crore, a fences and installation of 15 food stalls is included.

A alrge public gathering was present and this will hopefully be a good omen for the coastal area.
