Mangaluru, Oct 16, 2017 : Food and Civil Supplies Minister UT Khader said that the proposals for Indira Canteens has begun and likely to come up in Dakshina Kannada in January 2018.
Addressing the press at Circuit House today said,10 new canteens to come up in Dakshina Kannada. Among which 5 in Mangaluru, 1 in Ullal , Bantwal, Puttur, Belthangady and Sullia. There will be no change in rates of breakfast, lunch and dinner at the Indira Canteens, despite the Goods and Services Tax (GST). While breakfast will be charged at Rs5, lunch and dinner will be provided at Rs10 respectively.
Catering to 500 customers every day (500 each for breakfast, lunch and dinner), would soon be serving food to 1,500 daily, he said.
