‘Halasu Mela’ at Pilikula Nisargadhama on July 16, 17

Mangaluru, July 15,2016: Addressing a media conference, DK DC  Adoor B Ibrahim said that  Pilikula Nisargadhama in association with the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat and the Departments of Horticulture and Agriculture will organize Halasu Mela, starting tomorrow,  July 16 and 17 at the Urban Hath, Pilikula.

At least  35 varieties of jackfruit from across the state would be available during the exhibition-cum-sale. Apart from jackfruits, eatables made from the fruit including jam, halwa, papad, juice, chips and many other items will be made available, he added.

DC AB Ibrahim stated that a butterfly photo exhibition would be held under the guidance of Sammilan Shetty. He informed that bus conveyance from the main road to the exhibition spot would be arranged.  Executive Director, Dr Shivaram Karantha Pilikula Nisargadhama Jayaprakash Bhandary, newly appointed Mangaluru City Corporation Commissioner Mohammed Nazir and others were present for the meet.
