Speaking after launching the system, he said that Global Document Verification System is a secure, paperless, online document verification and authentication technology developed by ’Myeasydocs.com’. It helps in fast verification, saves time on courier and use of paper. It is also cost effective and transparent. The certificates can be checked within a day. The online verification system is launched to check fake documents that are reported to have hampered the credibility of various institutions, he said.

The VC said that at present, Registrar (Evaluation) gets 500 to 600 certificates for verification every month. The fee for online verification is Rs 1,500 per document. Students who submit manually for verification are charged Rs 615 and organisations who submit manually to verify documents will have to pay Rs 1,160 per document. The submission of applications manually to verify documents will continue.

Myeasydocs.com CMO Cyrac said that it facilitates a single platform for multiple verification requests. To verify Mangalore University issued certificates or mark lists, alumnus or any other document user only need to upload the said documents at www.mangaloreuniversity.directverify.in and make an online payment. The University will verify the credentials of the uploaded certificate or mark list with university records.

On completion of the verification, an email with a link of the verified document will be sent to the requesting party. One can upload the documents from any part of the world.  He said the Global Document Verification System will also facilitate the interlinking of various institutions and universities enabling expeditious admissions of student from different institutions.

The system blocks data theft and use of fraudulent documents that are potential threats to national security, saves citizens from a lot of time and effort spent in first getting their documents and then having them attested by third parties.

Currently, it has already been used by Hebrew University in Isreal, Singapore Ministry of Manpower, Embassy of Saudi Arabia and VFS Global.

Once the certificates are verified, it will have verification number, which can be used for multiple verification of the same documents, IP address of the external output provider, designation of the person who verified it and date.

Cyrac said that Bangalore, Mysore Universities have already approached Myeasydocs.com to initiate the system.  Registrar Prof P S Yadapaditaya, Registrar (Evaluation) Prof B Narayana were present at the launch.
