‘ Chaali Polilu’ hits half century

Mangaluru, Dec 20, 2014:  The “Chaali Polilu” team is elated on the Tulu movie completing 50 days of successful and houseful shows in five theatres across Mangaluru and Udupi.

 

 

The Chaali Polilu team which spoke to the media here on December 20, Friday said this was a first time achievement by any Tulu film. They said the   Tulu comedy movie has been successful in  striking a chord with the masses- not only Tuluvas, but people speaking different languages.

It was informed on the occasion that the film was also being screened in  Mumbai since three weeks and has been seeing successful shows in Bengaluru for four weeks.

The film produced under the banner Jaya Kirana films by Prakash Pandeshwar is directed by Veerendra Shetty. The film team claimed that the film has broken all box office records in Moodbidri, Karkala, Puttur and Belthangady and has already made over Rs 1.66 crore.

The film team said ‘Chaali Polilu’ the complete family entertainer will be screened for school children at concessional rates at Jyothi Theatre in the days to come and that plans are underway to release the movie in the national capital and also overseas.
