Answering media query about  his silence over  RTI activist Vinayak Baliga murder case, Poojary who was addressing press persons at the Congress office on Saturday April 16,  he said that  he was not the lone leader  in the Congress party  and that there are several other ministers who are mum against the cold blooded murder of Vinayak Baliga.

Poojary condemned the murder of RTI activist Baliga and stressed the need to arrest the accused at the earliest. "You need to question why the Ministers of the district are mum. It should be every minister’s duty to stand up against the issue. It is not necessary that only I have to speak about the issue," said Poojary.

Poojary criticized newly appointed state BJP President Yeddiyurappa for accepting the luxury car worth Rs 1 crore given by Murugesh Nirani.

The BJP which had targeted Chief Minister Siddaramaiah over his watch issue, is now ashamed   to speak against against Yeddyurappa, said Poojary.

Speaking about Umashree’s  visit to the district, Poojary said when people in Bidar are suffering due to water crisis the minister has visited Dakshina Kannada instead of responding to their appeals. "You need to go back to Bidar and prove yourself as a  minister with a mother’s heart," Poojary said.

TK Sudhir, Kallige Tarnath Shetty, Arun Coelho and others were present.
