Puttur, June 15,2017 : If earlier reports had said that HJV leader Ratnaker Shetty, an accused in Kalladka stabbing case had fled from the Adarsha Hospital in Puttur,  even when there was police vigil, latest reports reveal that Shetty had actually not fled but was only taken to  a hospital in Mangaluru for  x-ray and ECG after he complained of chest pain.

kalladkaDoctors have claimed that he is now back in Adarsha Hospital. Shetty who is facing charges of  attacking a person named Khaleel had also suffered injuries in his hand and was undergoing treatment.

Meanwhile, sources said  Shetty was taken to another hospital without intimating the cops on duty outside the hospital. It is also stated that  as he was yet to be formally arrested the need for police permission had not arisen.

SP Bhushan Gulabrao Borase has assured to look into the issue.

Kalladka stabbing case accused  HJV leader escapes from hospital

Bantwal, June 15,2017 :  Ratnaker Shetty, President of the Bantwal unit of Hindu Jagarana Vedike who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Puttur and  is the prime accused in the  case of stabbing Ibrahim Khaleel at Kalladka on June 13, Tuesday, has escaped from the hospital even when police were keeping guard outside the hospital.

It has been gathered that  four police personnel, two each during day and night shifts were deployed to ensure Ratnaker Shety did not escape. Still,  the accused managing to escape has given room for much doubt.

Ratnaker Shetty along with his associates who came by a car had attacked Ibrahim Khaleel who was standing in front of the Kalladka Jumma Masjid in the backdrop of an earlier trivial clash between  Khaleel and  Shetty who had come for the treatment of his son to a private hospital at Kalladka on Tuesday.

Following the incident Khaleel had lodged a murder attempt case against Ratnaker Shetty.
