All the meritorious students were given prizes alongwith certificate of appreciation in a well conducted ceremony befitting to the event at local Domino Pizza Centre at Mangalaru by DIG SS Dasila, TM; the Commander Coast Guard Karnataka in the presence of members of Coast Guard Wives Welfare Association (CGWWA) Mrs Rajwant Kaur, Vice President and          Mrs Meenu Sharma, Head of Outreach Activity CGWWA New Mangalore.

The chief guest motivated the students to remain optimistic and keep motivated for the new challenges. He also advised students to take control over what they can and stop worrying about what they can’t. Some things are within our control, while other things are not. Learn to recognize the difference. Refuse to worry about circumstances beyond their control. Don’t allow  yourself to become so emotionally entangled that it paralyzes your progress. Things may not always work out perfectly, but the sooner you get over them, the quicker you move on to your next victory. Only you can control your own actions and reactions.

The event was followed by Self Making Pizza Programme wherein the students came up with lively creative ideas in learning about good pizza making as per individual taste buds with fresh ingredients, and of course, making authentic, Italian pizza.

Commandant RK Sharma, the event coordinator brought out the future roles of students as a good entrepreneur as key factor for organsing the event at Pizza Chilimbi site. He highlighted to students that if you want to graduate with a job, then you better brush up your entrepreneurship skills today – your future depends on it!

Dy Comdt Deepika Dhiman, the brain behind the event emphasized on their new roles for future challenges enjoined upon them a greater sense of responsibility, self-discipline, humility and concern for their fellow students.
