Installation ceremony of Lions District 317D office bearers held

Mangaluru, Aug 07, 2018:  The installation ceremony of the new office bearers of Lions District 317D was held at the VK Shetty Auditorium at Adyar Garden.

 

Speaking as a chief guest on the occasion  Dr Shantharam Shetty,  Pro-Chancellor of Nitte Deemed- to be University and former Lions District Governor, said it was the duty of the Lions members to  respond to the problems of the society. He also stated that it was a good sign to note that many people are wishing to become Lions members considering its service activities.

 Devadas Bhandary was installed as the new Governor of Lions District 317D, while  Balakrishna Hegde, Srinath Konde, Ram Mohan Alva and Chandrahas Shetty were administered oath as the Cabinet Secretary, Treasurer, Joint Secretary and Public  Relations Officer respectively.

 Dr Shantharam Shetty administered oath to the new office bearers.

DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Urban Development and Housing U T Khader  was the chief guest.

 First Lions Vice Governor Ronald Gomes released the district directory. Past governors H R Harish, M B Sadashiva and others were present.
