Belthangady, Aug 06, 2018:  Two persons lost their lives when the car in which they were travelling collided head-on with a KSRTC bys near Kokkada in Kaukrady village of Uppinangady police station limits on August 5, Sunday night.

The deceased are Dinesh P (32), son of Veerappa Malekudiya of Dharmasthala and Sandesh (30), owner of Sandu Lightings of Dharmasthala.  The mishap occurred at a curve near Parpikalu  near Kokkada. The two were on way to Dharmasthala in a Maruti 800 car when tragedy struck at around 9.30 pm.

The KSRTC bus which was involved in the accident was proceeding towards Bengaluru from Dharmasthala.  The car was totally mangled due to the impact of the collision.

The locals had a tough time in getting out the bodies of the two which were caught inside the mangled car.

Uppinangady Police have registered a case.

It the Govt taking action on these drivers ? We think Govt buses are safe compared to Private , but accidents are more in case of KSRTC
