The next morning, we rushed to hospital for treatment, due to severe pain. The crowded hospital had along ques at 10.30am.
The doctor, instead of attending to them, was busy talking on the phone for nearly long. with no sign of him ending the call. After some time, he attended to the girl did not ask for an x-ray to check for a fracture, he prescribed some pain-killers and asked her to leave. The lady told the other staff of the apathy. Later, she went to Puttur Government Hospital, an hour from Belthangady for treatment.
She added that an x-ray revealed a serious injury, but no fracture. "I literally begged him to refer her for an x-ray ,but the doctor paid no heed," she said.
